This is the Best Keto Tuna Salad Recipe I have ever made! Seriously, EVER!

If you have been living the keto lifestyle for even just a few months, chances are good you've tried your fair share of recipes. I know I have.
Last week when I was prepping my husband's lunch, I decided to get creative with mine.
My husband can eat tuna salad a few times a week, and he never complains, but I have a hard time eating it more than twice a month. For some reason, after eating it once, the thought of having it again makes my stomach churn.
The only thing I really can't resist about tuna salad is that it's ridiculously easy to make on days when I'm strapped for time. Otherwise, I would probably never eat it.
Thankfully, I finally found a solution for myself and managed to increase the fat in my new favorite best keto tuna salad recipe!
Some days I still struggle to get all the fat I need without a fat bomb or bulletproof coffee, so this has been a lifesaver.
Remember to get creative in the kitchen because you never know when you may discover your own "new favorite" recipe!
I hate getting my hands dirty when I'm cooking. When I was working as a Pampered Chef consultant, we started selling these little can colanders.
They are great for straining all cans, but I used them for tuna more than anything.
Best Keto Tuna Salad:
I don't enjoy cooking bacon in a frying pan because the grease always gets me. That's why I loved learning alternative methods on how to cook bacon.

My family loves tuna salad. However for us it takes one of the larger cans...a small package of pecan bits and pieces, and a couple of red delicious apple peeled and chopped small. I use mayonnaise to mix it up, I can't stand the taste of miracle whip as it's too sweet. This can be eaten in a cup, on lettuce or as a sandwich

That sounds delicious! That's how I like my chicken salad, with apples and pecans! I used to do grapes as well but it's just too much sugar and leaves me craving sweets all day. Thanks for stopping by Margo! 🙂

Oh. My. Goodness! This was AMAZING. I'm very new to the keto diet, but when I saw this I immediately had to make it. So glad I did! I used 2 eggs instead of 1 (just to stretch it a bit further), and cooked my onion on the stove in a little butter to soften it up/brown it. So so unbelievably good, and I'm not a huge fan of tuna. I will definitely be trying more of your recipes, so thank you! 🙂

I'm making this recipe today for my husband's lunch, but when I put the ingredients into Cronometer (love this app for tracking macros), the end result is very different from your posting.Still worth the effort, but the app says the macros are: 427 kcals, 2 net carbs, 25 fats and 45 protein. It's the big gap in protein that has me wondering how you derived your macros? Thanks for this recipe.

This was delicious. I used green onions instead (my personal preference) and added the bacon grease as I was using big cans of tuna. Had it on Ketodietapp's Keto bun and it was super good. Thanks for posting!

I really like this recipe. I used grilled onion like another user suggested. I dislike hard boiled eggs but added it anyway and didn't even notice it. I didn't have sour cream so I just used a little extra mayo and I added 1 tsp. of dill relish instead of dill. I also added a sprinkle of shredded cheese because the photo looked like it had cheese. I put the whole bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds. I will definitely make it again.

Read and tried your recipe just now. I LOVE tuna. This was very good and will make it again. Most of my adult life tho, instead of or in conjunction with I use cream cheese to mix my tuna and salmon and then I put cheddar cheese on it as well!! So oooooo good. I am going to try it with cream cheese the next time and green onions. Thank you so much for this post...I am really enjoying it

I'm not a huge boiled egg fan ( it's a texture thing for me) so I fried mine / chopped it up & put it in the freezer a couple minutes to cool it! It was great! I also used a little dill relish instead of dill.

I have never liked tuna salad, but this is amazing! Very filling and tasty. I also just used a fried egg instead of the boiled egg, mostly because I was to lazy to boil the egg haha. Not a big fan of dill or mustard so I just used slightly less. I also added some smoked salmon. Seems like it took about 5 minutes to put together!

I do not like tuna, can I sub can chicken.

Of course!

Could you provide the size of the tuna can?
ketosizeme says
Sure! 5oz 🙂

I used tuna in olive oil and did not drain. Loved the bacon, dill and mustard as an alternative to pickle relish. I added chopped fresh spinach and dollop this on cuc or zucchini slices for lunch. Also - per another review added the bacon grease! No problem reaching my fat macro today!
