Keto Eggnog Recipe

Sharing is caring!

I had to come up with a Keto Eggnog Recipe because I love eggnog, and so far, I’ve been working on a few different versions.

Keto Eggnog

I love eggnog! There, I said it!

When I started living the keto lifestyle, I didn’t give much thought to the holidays.

While I’m not one to consider all the things missing out on, eggnog was one of the first things that popped into my mind when I thought about the foods I would need to avoid during the holiday season.

After I had spent some time thinking about it and reading the labels on every brand of eggnog at Walmart, I decided to try my hand at making my homemade keto eggnog.

I won’t lie, I am an eggnog snob, and I have tasted lots of different brands and homemade versions over the year.

My favorite brand is Southern Comfort Eggnog, and I have never tasted homemade eggnog that I enjoyed. That’s why I decided not to get excited about this little experiment.

I plan to make five different eggnog recipes, and this was my first attempt.

I tasted this recipe immediately after making it, and I wasn’t very impressed. Like many eggnogs I have tried in the past, it was bland and didn’t taste like my favorite brand.

The next day after it sat in the fridge overnight, I decided to try it.

OMG! It was EGGNOG!

Real yummy eggnog with NO sugar!

What what?!?!

Keto Eggnog Recipe:

I was thrilled, but I still plan to make the other recipes because I want to work on this one until I perfect it.

Once I’ve made them all, I will check back and let you know which keto eggnog is my favorite, so stay tuned!

So remember, you can try it the first day but leaving it overnight is worth the wait!

This is one of those wonderful high-fat, low-protein recipes.

I don’t know about you, but I struggle to get enough fat without going over protein.

 Keto Eggnog Ingredients:

2 Cups Heavy Cream

1 Cup So Delicious, Coconut Milk, Unsweetened

4 Large Eggs

48 drops liquid Stevia or the small scooper of Powdered Stevia Extract or 4 Tbsp Stevia in the Raw (add carbs)
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

 Keto Eggnog Directions:

Mix all items in a blender and blend for 2 minutes.
Refrigerate immediately and let sit overnight for the best taste.

You can mix this in a blender, I love my Ninja Blender, or you can mix it with a Kitchen Aid Mixer.

I considered whipping the heavy cream first and combining everything else, but I decided not to.

I may try that with the following recipe.

i am an eggnog fangirl too! i like to separate the egg yolk from the whites, blend everything except the whites, whip the egg whites till stiff then fold into the nog for a frothier fuller experience. nutmeg ground on top, of course! i never tried whipping the cream first. might be a little too thick, but also could be fun! esp if you use this to top coffee w a little rum or keto kahlua!

I'm sorry, but am confused. Do you use both the liquid and powder stevia? Thank you for the post. I love eggnog and want to make it for thanksgiving with eggs from my chickens

Thank you for this recipe!!!I just saw that eggnog was already out in stores for the season. I died a little bit when I saw the amount of carbs. We am going to try this one. I love it in my coffee.

I made a non-dairy variation of this by using 3 cups coconut milk and 2TBSP coconut oil instead of the 2 cups of cream and 1 cup of coconut milk above. I warmed the coconut oil just until melted, mixed thoroughly into the coconut milk, then continued with your original recipe.
