Keto Coconut Flour Sausage Balls Recipe

Sharing is caring!

Today I am sharing a Keto Coconut Flour Sausage Balls recipe for all my readers who can’t eat almond flour!

After I made my Keto Sausage Balls with Almond Flour, I got emails and comments asking for a coconut flour version, so here it is!

When I first started making my keto recipes, I only had to worry about my own family’s taste and allergies.

Since I started writing here, I’ve had many readers ask about dairy restrictions and nut allergies.

I’ll be honest; almond flour is my favorite flour to bake with, but I will do my best to try to start sharing more coconut flour recipes with you as well.

I know that there are quite a few of you who can’t use almond flour, so with that in mind, I altered this recipe just for you!

I plan to go back into the archives and try to do the same with some of my other almond flour recipes as well, but it may take a while, so please be patient with me, as right now my schedule is a little crazy!

Hopefully, I will have a lot more time to spend in the kitchen after we ring in the new year!

I enjoyed these coconut flour snacks considering I’m not generally a big fan.

If you can’t eat almond flour, you didn’t get to try the originals, so you don’t know what you’re missing out on, but they aren’t as good as those.

I will say coconut flour makes everything a little more “bready.”

When I use coconut flour, I feel like putting a biscuit around everything.

If I liked biscuits, I probably wouldn’t mind, but I’m not a fan.

Easy Keto Coconut Flour Sausage Balls Recipe

Even after saying that, I will still admit these were pretty tasty. They had that sweet coconut flavor mixed it with the savory breakfast sausage, I thought it was a great combo.

I almost wanted to add something else to it to make it a sweet treat, but I’m not quite sure what, and it would have added more carbs, so it’s probably better left alone.

Anyway, here’s your recipe! I hope you enjoy it!

If you’re new to baking with coconut flour, here are a few cookbooks that can help get you started. The biggest key is learning how to bake with coconut flour.

It’s nothing like almond flour, so it can be tricky to learn how to use it, but once you master it, you can bake pretty much anything!

Many of these cookbooks offer low-carb recipes, and some are paleo, which means you’ll have to sub out some ingredients like honey for things like liquid stevia.

  4. Place sausage balls on a silicone baking mat (keeps them from burning and sticking to the pan) on a cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes. They should be browned, but don’t let them get too dry.
  6. Store in a sandwich bag or covered bowl in the fridge. My mother-in-law would leave them sitting at room temperature, but I can’t do that.

Amazingly good! Great snack and if you need too sneak a pill into your dog works great also! Make sure you buy the bulk sausage and the cheese is all grated, I made both mistakes and had to squeeze the meat out of the casing, woof.

Luv them! Didn't have cream cheese so used Greek yogurt (for the added moisture) and subbed melted coconut oil for the melted butter. Will definitely be a family favorite. So satisfying.

These turned out great! They taste just like the higher carb version. I made a couple of changes that I do with my "regular" sausage balls: I used extra-sharp cheddar and also added 1/4 cup of fine-shredded Romano cheese to really boost the cheesy flavor. If anything, they are perhaps a tad drier than the high carb version. I think I will serve them next time with a sriracha mayonnaise dip for my people who like things very spicy!
